I series MnZn transformer core are commonly used for high current transformer, power switch transformer, common mode choke, high current transformer, etc. It is a polycrystal, sintered material with high electrical resistivity. The high resistance of ferrite makes eddy current losses extremely low at high frequencies. Therefore, unlike other magnetic components, ferrite can be used at considerably high frequencies.
